Baseball Game Preview: Del Rio Rams vs. United Longhorns

For the second straight game, Del Rio will face off against United. Del Rio will head out on the road to square off against United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Rio has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 21.

Del Rio fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against United on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rams have suffered since February 29, 2024.

For United's part, Ramon De Alba was a standout: he scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave De Alba a new career-high. Michael Guerra also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

De Alba wasn't the only one working in the hit department: United kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

United's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for Del Rio, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
