Volleyball Recap: Forsyth Central Comes Up Short

Forsyth Central was the 2-0 winner over Cherokee Bluff when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

While Forsyth Central ultimately came up short, they really made Cherokee Bluff work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 22-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Bella Kindregan paced Forsyth Central's offense, picking up five kills. Kindregan got some help from Izzy Sharp and her 19 assists. Kaley Orlosky controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Forsyth Central dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cherokee Bluff, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Forsyth Central and Cherokee Bluff will both be playing East Forsyth the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bears will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
