Loyalton's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Westwood Lumberjacks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Grizzlies have posted against the Lumberjacks since October 13, 2022.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Loyalton got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 13-25, 25-13, 22-25, 15-6.

Loyalton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for Westwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Loyalton will challenge rival Herlong at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Westwood is set to face off against their familiar foe Paradise Adventist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
