Pleasant Valley waltzed into their match on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the McQueen Lancers 12-3. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Alissa Snipes, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Bella Cox was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Snipes wasn't the only one making solid contact: Pleasant Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for the Vikings: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 11.6.

Pleasant Valley's record is now 11-5-1. As for McQueen, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Pleasant Valley and McQueen should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Vikings will face off against Antelope at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (146 vs. 465). Meanwhile, McQueen (ranked 14th) will meet Las Plumas (ranked 101st) at 12:35 p.m. on Monday.
