Basketball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside lost against Northridge back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Riverside Pirates had to suffer through a 90-48 loss at the hands of the Northridge Polar Bears. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Riverside and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Northridge, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will host Troy Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Troy Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Riverside surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Covington at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Northridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
