Baseball Recap: Manitowoc Lutheran Falls Short of Valders in the Playoffs

Manitowoc Lutheran and Valders squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Manitowoc Lutheran had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Lancers in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost seven in a row.

Manitowoc Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Laabs, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Manitowoc Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Valders, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

As of now, neither Manitowoc Lutheran nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
