Volleyball Game Preview: Walnut Wildcats vs. Strayhorn Mustangs

The Walnut Wildcats will face off against the Strayhorn Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Walnut has nine straight wins, Strayhorn has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

It was a proper cat-fight when Walnut faced off against Baldwyn on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Walnut took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-12, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Strayhorn came up short against Myrtle on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Strayhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Walnut, their win bumped their record up to 31-3-1.
