Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jones). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rockport-Fulton Pirates a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The result came thanks to Tyler Lang's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jones is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8-1 otherwise.

At the plate, BJ Rivas was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

With the victory, Jones broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9-1. As for Rockport-Fulton, they dropped their record down to 8-6-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Jones will face off against Sinton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockport-Fulton, they will square off against Gonzales at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rockport-Fulton is facing Gonzales at the right time seeing as Gonzales is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
