Basketball Recap: Burlington City Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Burlington City rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They slipped by the Penns Grove Red Devils 59-58. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Red Devils back in January, they had to take a 69-45 loss.

Burlington City's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Penns Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Burlington City will square off against Pitman on Saturday. Pitman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Burlington City likes a good challenge. Penns Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
