Sweetwater took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Olympian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Devils had just enough and edged out the Eagles 5-4 on Wednesday. For the Red Devils, this counts as revenge for the 12-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Sweetwater's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Peralta, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Sweetwater pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Olympian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5-1.

Sweetwater will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
