            Football Recap: Brother Rice Warriors vs. Catholic Central Shamrocks        
        
		
        
        
            Brother Rice played a tough  matchup  on Sunday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through  a    41-8 loss at the hands of the Catholic Central Shamrocks. The  contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
 Catholic Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Duke Banta, who threw for 230 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave  Banta a new career-high in  passer rating (169.5).  Cedric Williams helped  Banta out on the ground, rushing for 119 yards and one  TD on only eight carries.
This is the second loss in a row for Brother Rice and  nudges their season record down to 2-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-2 St. John's Jesuit (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 83.3% over those games). As for Catholic Central, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Brother Rice is set to  take on  their familiar foe De La Salle Collegiate  at 7:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Meanwhile, Catholic Central will  face off against  rival St. John's Jesuit  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
