Recap: Imhotep Charter Panthers vs. Benjamin Franklin Electrons

The Imhotep Charter Panthers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Benjamin Franklin 58-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Imhotep Charter, who have now won seven matches by 35 points or more so far this season.

Imhotep Charter can attribute much of their success to Mikal Davis jr, who threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabree Wallace- Coleman, who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns.

Imhotep Charter's win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 8-1 Malvern Prep and 8-2 Archbishop Spalding (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.3% over those games). As for Benjamin Franklin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Imhotep Charter will take on Martin Luther King at 4:00 p.m. on November 11th. Martin Luther King will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Benjamin Franklin will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 12:00 p.m. on November 23rd.
