It was a good run, but Community Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Oakbrook Prep Knights. The Ambassadors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13, 22-25, 25-15.

Charis Moody paced Community Christian Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Moody got some help from Callie Moody and her 25 assists. Keira Cruz and Lydia Hoese kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Community Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Oakbrook Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Community Christian Academy and Oakbrook Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Ambassadors will take on South Aiken Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (91 vs. 222). Meanwhile, Oakbrook Prep (ranked 173rd) will meet Carolina Day (ranked 466th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
