Volleyball Game Preview: McCurdy Bobcats vs. Mora Rangers/Rangerettes

The McCurdy Bobcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Mora Rangers/Rangerettes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mora took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on McCurdy, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when McCurdy took on Penasco on Tuesday. The Bobcats blew past the Panthers 3-0. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

McCurdy was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Mora unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Questa. While the Rangers/Rangerettes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-17 in the first set.

Mora started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 26-24.

Mora's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for McCurdy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.

McCurdy was able to grind out a solid win over Mora in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
