Recap: Kiefer Trojans vs. Victory Christian Conquerors
The Kiefer Trojans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 40-34 victory over Victory Christian. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
It was another big night for Jaxon Worley, who threw for 171 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Alston Carr was another key contributor, gaining 43 total yards and two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Victory Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ayden Hamilton. Despite the final result, he rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Hamilton's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Michael Doctor made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Kiefer's victory was their 11th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. As for Victory Christian, their loss ended a eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kiefer will take on Vinita at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vinita will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Kiefer is ranked 26th). As for Victory Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rejoice Christian at 7:00 p.m.
