Softball Recap: St. John Paul II Panthers vs. Franklin County Seahawks

St. John Paul II lost against Franklin County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seahawks. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

AMANDA THOMPSON put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. THOMPSON was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

THOMPSON wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was SANAA ROBERTS, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

St. John Paul II's record is now 6-10. As for Franklin County, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, St. John Paul II will be playing at home against North Florida Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin County, they will venture away from home to face off against Blountstown at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
