Volleyball Recap: Hays Comes Up Short

Hays was the 2-1 winner over Pflugerville when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Hays lost, don't look at Brianna Rodriguez. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and five aces. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Hays now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Pflugerville, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-14.

Hays' road trip will continue as they head out to face Warren at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pflugerville, they will face off against Lockhart at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
