Softball Recap: San Antonio Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

After losing to Jefferson the last time they met, San Antonio Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The San Antonio Christian Lions blew past the Jefferson Mustangs 15-1 on Friday. The Lions' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Brianna Vick made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Vick was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Isabella Larson was a standout: she scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Larson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stolen at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Taytum Robert, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

San Antonio Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

San Antonio Christian's record is now 3-0. As for Jefferson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, San Antonio Christian will face off against Lanier at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will take on Holy Cross at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
