Basketball Recap: Sheyenne Takes a Loss

Sheyenne was the 86-69 winner over Mandan when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Sheyenne Mustangs might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Mandan Braves an easy 79-55 win.

Sheyenne's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mandan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Sheyenne and Horace will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Horace knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Sheyenne likes a good challenge. As for Mandan, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Minot at 7:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
