Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Pope John Paul II

Pope John Paul II won the last time they faced Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pope John Paul II Jaguars walked away with a 56-46 win over the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Despite the defeat, Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dimitris Galiatsos dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Galiatsos is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Hovan Jasmine, who posted 15 points and five rebounds.
