Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Mary's Prep). They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Cousino Patriots on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for St. Mary's Prep.

St. Mary's Prep's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Cousino, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's Prep will square off against Shrine Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Shrine Catholic's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Cousino, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lamphere at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Lamphere will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cousino surely won't give up without a fight.
