Volleyball Game Preview: Westfield Shamrocks vs. Bellmont Braves

After both having extra time off, the Westfield Shamrocks and the Bellmont Braves will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.

Westfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Carmel 3-0.

Westfield can attribute much of their success to Kenna Robinson, who had 17 assists and seven digs. Robinson has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more assists the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendyl Strack, who had nine digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Bellmont got the win against Fort Wayne Wayne on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0.

Westfield's win bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Bellmont, their victory bumped their record up to 20-12.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's matchup: Westfield has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.9 aces per game. However, it's not like Bellmont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Westfield beat Bellmont 2-0 when the teams last played back in August. Will the Shamrocks repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
