Lake Forest kept up with Evanston until halftime on Wednesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Wildkits never let the Scouts get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Considering Evanston have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Evanston is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five matches. As for Lake Forest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Evanston and Lake Forest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Wildkits (ranked 28th) will meet New Trier (ranked third) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lake Forest will face off against Lane Tech at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (187 vs. 43).
