Baseball Recap: Dardanelle Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dardanelle waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Ozark Hillbillies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 on April 1st.

Luke Taylor looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Scout Bull and Kam Olson did most of the damage at the plate: Bull went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Olson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those two stolen bases gave Bull a new career-high. Kentrell Diggs was another key player, earning one run and four stolen bases.

Dardanelle pushed their record up to 12-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ozark, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
