Basketball Recap: Woodbridge Skates Past Alexandria City with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Woodbridge over Alexandria City in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Vikings blew the Titans out of the water with a 69-37 final score. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Among those leading the charge was Kaci Jones-Carr, who posted 17 points and seven rebounds. Ty Wanzer was another key player, putting up nine points.

Alexandria City's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Thompson, who shot 45% from the field en route to 12 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was John Wszalek, who had eight points.

The win got Woodbridge back to even at 2-2. As for Alexandria City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Woodbridge will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Forest Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alexandria City, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maret at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
