Softball Recap: Aloha Wins Going Away Against Sprague

Aloha not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2024. Everything went their way against the Sprague Olympians as Aloha made off with a 16-2 win. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 11-7 victory the Olympians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Chiyori Brumley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Brumley was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Brooklyn Sweatman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Sophia Rider was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Aloha always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sprague only posted an OBP of .333.

Aloha has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.0 runs this season. As for Sprague, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Aloha will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sprague: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
