Volleyball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Greenbrier East Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 12-19-6. As for Greenbrier East, they now have a winning record of 19-18-4.

Independence has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Shady Spring on the 23rd. As for Greenbrier East, they will welcome Capital at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
