Softball Recap: Manawa Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Manawa won against Iola-Scandinavia last Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Wolves beat the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won three contests in a row.

Manawa's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Manawa will take on Amherst at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, they are taking a road trip to square off against Stratford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
