Recap: Piedmont Panthers vs. Anson Bearcats

The Piedmont Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 57-29 victory over Anson on the road. That looming 57-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Piedmont yet this season.

Piedmont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camryn Kaminski led the charge by scoring eight points along with nine steals and eight rebounds. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Emily Polk, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Piedmont's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Anson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Piedmont won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against York at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd. As for Anson, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
