Bishop Gorman remains No. 1 while Hudson (Ohio) enters the rankings at No. 25.
As the playoffs begin in most states, Bishop Gorman holds on to the No. 1 spot in the Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
However, postseason play means big games and potentially bigger victories, meaning Bishop Gorman is by no means a lock to finish No. 1.
The Texas Class 6A brackets could contain a number of contenders for the top spot, including Allen, Skyline and Manvel. No. 2 De La Salle will likely be back in the CIF Bowl Games, presenting it with an opportunity to earn a victory over a top team from Southern California.
No. 4 Paramus Catholic could very well face Don Bosco Prep (for the second time) and St. Peter's Prep in the non-public Group 4 playoff bracket in New Jersey.
Entering the rankings this week is Hudson, which followed up an impressive victory last week over Mentor with a victory over Twinsburg. It sits at 10-0 heading into Ohio's Division I playoffs, where it has a No. 1 seed.
