Softball Recap: Benton Wins Going Away Against Captain Shreve

Benton got themselves on the board against Captain Shreve on Thursday, but Captain Shreve never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Gators. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Benton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Captain Shreve, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-12.

Looking ahead, Benton will square off against Converse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Captain Shreve, they will face off against Cedar Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
