Volleyball Recap: Banner County Comes Up Short

Banner County lost against Potter-Dix back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Coyotes by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Banner County actually scored more points across those five sets (116-111), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 30-32, 15-25, 15-12.

Leeigh McGowan paced Banner County's offense, picking up 13 kills. McGowan got some help from Makynna Boettcher and her 15 assists. Boettcher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Potter-Dix can attribute much of their success to Peyton Rasmussen, who had 12 digs and one assist. Rasmussen has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Banner County's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Potter-Dix, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-16.

Banner County has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Hay Springs on the 14th. As for Potter-Dix, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Wallace on the 14th.
