Basketball Recap: Valencia Finds Home Court Redemption Against Saugus

There's no place like home for Valencia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They snuck past the Saugus Centurions with a 55-51 win on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Vikings' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 449th, while the Centurions are ranked 162nd).

Valencia's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Saugus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valencia has already played their next match (against Castaic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Saugus has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against West Ranch.
