Basketball Recap: Bristow Sets Scoring Season-High Against Guymon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bristow). They came out on top against the Guymon Tigers by a score of 65-52 on Friday.

Bristow was led to victory by TJ Wilson and Tayt Jackson. Wilson shot 57% from the field to rack up 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Jackson went 9-for-17 en route to 21 points and six steals. With that strong performance, Wilson is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lovett, who posted seven points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Bristow was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Bristow's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Guymon, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Bristow has already played their next contest, a 71-69 defeat against Little Axe on the 13th. As for Guymon, they will head out to challenge Noble at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
