Football Recap: Allentown Central Catholic Takes a Loss

If Allentown Central Catholic was riding high fresh off their 27-6 takedown of William Allen last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings were outmatched by the Parkland Trojans and fell 37-7. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Parkland was led to victory by Tj Lawrence and Blake Nassry. Lawrence gained 183 total yards and two touchdowns, while Nassry picked up 130 receiving yards and two TDs. What's more, Lawrence racked up 122 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in August.

Allentown Central Catholic's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Parkland, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Allentown Central Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-15 win against Louis E. Dieruff on the 17th. As for Parkland, they have also already played their next game, a 53-7 victory against Whitehall on the 16th.
