Basketball Recap: Karnes City Falls Despite Big Games from Rodrick Vasquez and Savion Nixon-Thompson

Karnes City fought the good fight in their overtime match against Goliad on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goliad Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Badgers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Karnes City's loss came despite strong showings from Savion Nixon-Thompson and Rodrick Vasquez. Nixon-Thompson almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, while Vasquez posted 11 points. Nixon-Thompson is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played.

Considering Stockdale has lost five straight at home and Goliad three straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
