Martin won the last time they faced Arlington and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors blew past the Colts 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

While Martin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-17.

Emma Shutter paced Martin's offense, picking up 12 kills. Shutter got some help from Emma Nguyen and her 20 assists. Olivia Foley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Arlington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Catherine Knowles had 12 digs and one assist.

Martin's victory bumped their record up to 15-16. As for Arlington, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 14-19 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Martin is set to challenge their familiar foe Lamar at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Arlington will take on rival Haltom at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
