Kaleb Haag posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Haag's strong effort led Saugus over Golden Valley and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
