Baseball Recap: Homestead Takes Down Scotts Valley in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Homestead walked away with it. They skirted past the Scotts Valley Falcons 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Homestead saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Duong, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Homestead's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-15. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Scotts Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-16.

As of now, neither Homestead nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
