Basketball Recap: Lake City Community Takes a Loss

Lake City Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 44-23 to the Antonito Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-25 two weeks ago.

Antonito got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Destanaya Quintana out in front who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Quintana is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played. Kim Sisneros was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Lake City Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Antonito, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-14.

As of now, neither Lake City Community nor Antonito have any future games scheduled.
