Basketball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover lost against GlenOak back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hoover Vikings were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the GlenOak Golden Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vikings came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 163rd).

Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for GlenOak, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3.

Hoover and South will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for GlenOak, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-44 victory against East on the 21st.
