Softball Recap: Menominee Comes Up Short

If Menominee was feeling good fresh off their 21-11 takedown of Bark River-Harris on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Maroons lost 19-4 to the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 back in March.

Menominee's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lake Linden-Hubbell, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lakes beat Menominee by a score of 11-7 later that day.
