Volleyball Game Preview: Blountstown Tigers vs. Munroe Bobcats

The Blountstown Tigers will take on the Munroe Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Blountstown is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since October 8, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Bay. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Blountstown was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly three points. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.

Defeat or not, Blountstown got some senior leadership from Eden Mallory and Khloe Schamens. Mallory had 13 digs and two aces, while Schamens had eight digs and two aces. Mallory has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Meanwhile, Munroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Madison County, falling 3-0.

Munroe was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.

Munroe's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Blountstown, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.
