Volleyball Preview: Uintah Meets Mountain View

The Uintah Utes will square off against the Mountain View Bruins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Uintah proved they can win big with a three-set victory last Tuesday. On Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Deer Creek 3-2.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 27-29, 24-26, 25-21, 36-34, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Mountain View and Summit Academy faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Tuesday. The Bruins put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win.

Mountain View walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 25-18.

Uintah's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-16. As for Mountain View, they have now won five of their last six games at home. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.
