Basketball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen West Comes Up Short

Morristown-Hamblen West lost against Sevier County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans took a 71-56 bruising from the Sevier County Smoky Bears. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Smoky Bears are ranked 32nd).

Morristown-Hamblen West has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Sevier County, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Morristown-Hamblen West is taking a road trip to square off against Cocke County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sevier County has already played their next game (against Northview Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
