Basketball Game Preview: Beach Bulldogs vs. Liberty County Panthers

Beach and Liberty County are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Bulldogs will host the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Beach has given up an average of 60.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Beach came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 73-46 loss at the hands of Baldwin.

The losing side was boosted by Jordan Newton, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Marcus Liddell, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Liberty County suffered their closest loss since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Woodville-Tompkins by a score of 44-42. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.

Liberty County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Beach, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
