Perry came tearing into Saturday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the South Rebels 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Perry's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Perry will challenge Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South, they will square off against Riverside at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
