Basketball Recap: Evans Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Evans hadn't done well against Lakeside recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Evans Knights took down the Lakeside Panthers 40-25. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Panthers are ranked 234th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evans' victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-2. As for Lakeside, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
