A-8 West - Western (8 Man) recap Oct. 23, 2012

Norwood extended the longest winning streak in A-8 West - Western (8 Man) this week by beating Dove Creek, 47-42. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Nucla led the league in scoring this week after putting up 70 points on Plateau Valley.

The Bulldogs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dalton Randolph threw for 269 and four touchdowns and Jordan Ernst had 83 yards receiving. On the ground Randolph chipped in 123 yards. Tyler Ebberts helped Dove Creek's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 64 yards.

Dove Creek's Randolph and Ebberts have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Randolph has thrown for 1056 yards this season, while Ebberts, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 19 catches for 386 yards. Branson Mitchell from Mancos leads the league in rushing with 1603 yards.
