Basketball Recap: Putnam Takes a Loss

Putnam lost against Lyman Memorial last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Putnam Clippers took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Kevin Botticello, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds for Lyman Memorial. Botticello's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Conor Hawkins, who posted ten points.

Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Lyman Memorial, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-19.

Putnam does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lyman Memorial, they will challenge Wheeler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
